While the car’s dimensions and aesthetics remain untouched, its electric nature will be subtly evident with EV badging on the rear side. Reports indicate that Tata Punch EV is being crafted on the ALFA platform, known for its adaptability to electric powertrains without necessitating significant modifications.
As per media insights, the Punch EV is expected to feature a noteworthy 7-inch touchscreen display, offering intuitive control over an array of fundamental and advanced vehicle functionalities. Alongside this, the car is set to boast an electric sunroof and a distinct two-spoke steering wheel, augmenting the overall driving experience.
Insider information suggests that Tata might leverage the platform used for its TIAGO electric model to underpin the Tata Punch EV, although official confirmation is pending. Sources hint at an impressive driving range of up to 300 km on a single charge for the Tata Punch EV, potentially accompanied by the convenience of fast-charging capabilities. Normal charging at home could take around 6 to 7 hours, whereas a fast charger might juice up the vehicle in as little as 1 hour.
