A single-vehicle crash in Philadelphia’s Northern Liberties neighborhood on Thursday evening left one man dead and another person critically injured.

The tragic incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Spring Garden Street. According to police, a vehicle with a driver and two passengers lost control and crashed into a construction zone in the area.
A 58-year-old male passenger died as a result of the devastating collision according to officials. The identity of the deceased victim has not been released.
Another 69-year-old male passenger was listed in critical condition following the wreck. The status of the driver was not provided.
