In Dennery, St. Lucia, a homeowner received reassurance from the St. Lucia Fire and Emergency Services following a tragic incident involving an ambulance that crashed into his property on a Wednesday morning.

The accident took place around 8:30 a.m. on Hospital Road, Dennery, while the ambulance was in a rush to transport an elderly patient to the hospital. Sadly, the elderly patient later succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
Acting Fire Chief Ditney Downes arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and confirmed that the house had suffered significant damage due to the collision. Expressing concern for the homeowner’s situation, he stated, “The house sustained some serious damage.” Downes went on to provide assurance, saying, “I have spoken to the owner, and I have given him the assurance that the fire department is committed to restoring the house to its original state, and hopefully everything will be okay.”
Aside from the homeowner, three other individuals were affected by the crash. Unfortunately, no further details were available at the time.
