Police in Barrie, Ontario are investigating a serious multi-vehicle collision that occurred early Friday morning on Bayfield Street.
According to reports, three vehicles were involved in the crash at the intersection with Hamner Road. Shocking images show extensive damage, with one car’s wheel embedded into the rear of another vehicle after the impact.
Thankfully Barrie Police said no serious injuries have been reported at this time. Bayfield Street remains closed between Livingstone and Carson as crews clear debris and damaged cars from the roadway.
While the cause is still under investigation, the startling scene left behind makes it clear the collision could have been far more tragic. As investigators work to understand how such a devastating crash happened, the community is relieved more lives were not affected.
