A deadly single-vehicle collision occurred on the M65 motorway in Burnley, England on Saturday morning. At approximately 10:53 am, a driver collided with roadside bollards while exiting the motorway at junction nine.

The car overturned and caught fire as a result of crashing into the barriers. The lone occupant, the driver, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene when police arrived.
The identity of the deceased driver is still being confirmed through ongoing inquiries. Investigators are asking any witnesses or drivers with dashboard camera footage to come forward and assist in the investigation.
A section of the M65 was closed, including the junction nine exit ramp, while emergency crews responded. The circumstances surrounding the fatal crash remain under investigation.
