Douglas Park, NSW – A woman has died in a tragic head-on crash between a ute and car in Douglas Park, Sydney’s southwest early Monday morning.

Around 4:20 a.m., the ute carrying a male driver and a female passenger collided with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction on Menangle Road.
According to police, the ute had crossed to the incorrect side of the road before the devastating impact for reasons still under investigation.
The female passenger, aged 37, became trapped in the fiery wreckage and died at the scene. The 55-year-old male ute driver managed to escape with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle involved sustained arm injuries in the crash.
This marks NSW’s 12th road fatality this month, which police have labeled as “totally unacceptable.”
Both drivers underwent mandatory testing and are assisting in ongoing inquiries. The circumstances surrounding the fatal head-on collision remain under police investigation.
