High-Speed Accident in South Toledo: Man Ejected from Car Striking Utility Pole

Toledo, OH – A man was hospitalized in critical condition following a serious high-speed single-vehicle crash in south Toledo early Tuesday morning.

The accident occurred just before 1 a.m. on Reynolds Road at Angola Road, police reported.

A driver was traveling northbound on Reynolds at high speed when he lost control and crashed into a metal utility pole before being ejected from the vehicle.

A passing motorist stopped to perform CPR on the man until first responders arrived. He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The violent impact of the collision ripped the car’s engine out and left the driver ejected on the ground.

An accident investigator responded to the scene. The circumstances surrounding the devastating single-vehicle wreck remain under investigation.
