Multi-Car Collision at Hwy 15 and Bridge Street Causes Traffic Delays

New Ulm, MN – A three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 15 and S. Bridge Street in New Ulm left three people injured on Monday morning around 8:30 a.m.

According to police, a Buick Encore driven by 78-year-old Noreen Nora Ubel first struck the rear of a Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer when merging into traffic from the right shoulder. Ubel’s SUV then collided with a Ford F-350 pickup truck.

Three vehicle accident on Hwy 15 and Bridge Street

Ubel was transported to the local medical center with non-life-threatening injuries following the multi-vehicle crash. The drivers of the tractor-trailer and pickup, 31 and 32 years old respectively, also sustained injuries but did not require hospitalization.

The circumstances surrounding the collision at the Highway 15 intersection remain under investigation. All three drivers involved in the New Ulm three-car pileup were injured but are expected to recover.
