Fatal Southern Colorado Crash Claims One Life, Ejects Multiple Occupants from Vehicle

A fatal car crash occurred early Sunday morning in Colorado Springs, leaving one dead and multiple injured.

According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department, the collision took place around 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Platte Avenue and Institute Street. At least one person was killed in the crash.

CSFD reported that two other occupants of the vehicle were ejected on impact. Both surviving victims sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment. Their current conditions are unknown.

No one was trapped in the wreckage, per firefighters. Platte Avenue was closed between Prospect Street and Institute as the Major Crash Team investigated the scene.

Details are still limited, but the crash involved a single vehicle with multiple ejections. The cause of the collision remains under investigation. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
