Popular YouTuber Rajni Chaudhary recently showcased the new Hongqi E-HS9, an all-electric luxury SUV from Chinese automaker FAW Group. With a design aimed at rivaling the Rolls-Royce Cullinan at a fraction of the price, the E-HS9 brings ultra-luxury to Chinese EV buyers.
At the front, an enormous grille with LED accents dominates the fascia. Other details include LED projector headlamps, a rugged bumper, and a rectangular hood. The sides feature 22-inch alloy wheels, flush door handles, and contrasting body cladding.
The rear sports a full-width LED taillight strip, faux exhaust tips, a roof spoiler, and a skid plate. The futuristic styling provides luxury presence on par with premium European SUVs.
By leveraging EV technology in a large luxury SUV form factor, Hongqi hopes to make high-end features accessible to more Chinese consumers. The E-HS9 aims to deliver a Cullinan-like experience for around one-eighth the cost.
With China leading global EV adoption, established brands like Hongqi are capitalizing on shifting preferences. The striking E-HS9 illustrates how Chinese automakers plan to dominate the future luxury EV space.
