A police manhunt is underway for the driver of a Mercedes which was involved in a horror crash that claimed the lives of a brother and sister in Sydney’s southwest.

Emergency services were called to Sadleir Ave in Heckenberg at around 9.20 pm on Friday, receiving reports of a multi-vehicle collision.
A 24-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Echo with her 15-year-old brother in the passenger seat when they were hit head-on by a black Mercedes, NSW Police said in a statement.
The woman was picking up her younger brother from work and the pair were getting food before going home when they were killed, according to 9 News.
The teenager had just finished a shift at Kmart in nearby Liverpool, a job which he had only just started.
After colliding with the Echo, the black Mercedes also hit a Toyota RAV4 before it flipped on its side.
The occupants of the Mercedes then climbed out of the overturned car and fled the scene in a Volkswagen Golf.
The two occupants of the RAV4 were not injured.
A crime scene was established and the Mercedes was subsequently seized by police, later undergoing forensic examination.
The 18-year-old male driver of the Golf, which was located by police in Ashcroft, was arrested at Liverpool Police Station at around 11.30 pm.
He was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing but he has since been released by police.
Police have appealed for the occupants of the Mercedes, or anyone else who has information regarding the incident, to contact Crime Stoppers.
This tragic crash has left the local community reeling. Police are actively searching for the occupants of the Mercedes as the investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the horrific collision that killed a brother and sister.
