A Washington D.C. shooting incident earlier this week has turned fatal after the victim died from his wounds on Friday.

23-year-old Brandon Gant of Southeast D.C. was discovered early Wednesday morning inside a crashed vehicle near 18th Street and Minnesota Avenue. Police had responded to reports of gunfire and a collision in the area.
Gant was hospitalized in critical condition suffering from gunshot injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, he sadly succumbed to those traumatic wounds two days later.
Details are still limited on any suspects or motive in the shooting. Investigators have also not confirmed whether the man’s wounds directly resulted from the shooting or subsequent vehicle crash.
