A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash near Coventry on Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened at the junction of The Row and Grove Road in Ansty at around 5 p.m. A van and a motorbike were said to have collided.
The motorcyclist, a man, was treated for potentially serious injuries by paramedics at the scene. He was then taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
The extent of the man’s injuries is not yet known.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a collision between a motorbike and van at the junction of The Row and Grove Road, Ansty at 5.09 pm. One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
“We discovered one patient, a man, who was the motorcyclist. He was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
The road was closed for a short time while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
