Hinton, IA – A multi-vehicle collision involving 5 vehicles occurred Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 75 and County Road C-60 in Hinton, Iowa, according to the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department.

A northbound gold Nissan sideswiped two stopped cars, then proceeded to strike a westbound gray GMC Denali at the intersection around 1:36 pm. The Nissan also collided with a southbound pickup truck waiting at the red light.
The out-of-control Nissan finally came to rest in the middle of the roadway after hitting the four other vehicles.
At least two people were transported to local hospitals for treatment, but names have not been released at this time.
An investigation into the multi-car crash at the Hinton intersection is being conducted by the sheriff’s department and assisting agencies.
