A fatal collision between two commercial vehicles on Highway 11-17 in northwestern Ontario has left two people dead and two others hospitalized.

The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday morning near Finmark Road in the Township of Shabaqua, west of Thunder Bay.
Ontario Provincial Police reported that emergency crews responded to the scene and found two deceased victims. Two other injured people were transported to local hospitals.
The Trans-Canada Highway was fully closed between Shabaqua Road and Finmark Road for the entire day as authorities investigated the incident. One lane reopened late Sunday night to periodically let traffic through the area.
The names of the victims and details about the commercial vehicles involved have not yet been released.
