A man has been hospitalized following an industrial accident in Vaughan, Ontario on Thursday evening, according to York Regional Police. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. in the area of Rutherford Road and Crimson Forest Drive.
Police said one man was transported to Sunnybrook Hospital with serious injuries sustained in the workplace accident. His current condition is unknown.
Authorities said they have notified the Ontario Ministry of Labour about the incident. Police have not released details on what type of industrial accident occurred or where exactly it took place.
The circumstances leading to the worker’s injuries are under investigation. Police are working to determine what happened and ensure safety protocols are followed. The name and age of the injured man have not been made public at this time.
