Emergency Closure: Norman Railroad Crossing Blocked After Train Collision

A non-injury collision between a train and a vehicle closed multiple railroad crossings in Norman on Saturday afternoon.

The Norman Police Department said the collision occurred at the railroad crossing on Boyd Street at around 1:25 p.m. No injuries were reported.

The railroad crossings at Duffy, Boyd, and Lindsey Streets were all closed to traffic due to the collision. Pedestrians were also asked to avoid walking over the tracks or near the train while it remained stopped.
