Fatal Motorcycle vs. Car Crash Claims One Life

Tragedy struck on a quiet county road in Mahtowa Township last night when a motorcycle and car collided at a rural intersection.

It was about 9:10 p.m. when a local man driving north on County Road 61 approached the crossover with County Road 4. At the same time, another driver was turning south from County Road 4 onto 61.

In an instant, the paths of the two vehicles crossed and the car pulled into the motorcycle’s path. The ensuing collision was devastating.

The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The driver of the car escaped with only minor wounds, which were treated at the scene.

Authorities have not yet released the names of the two drivers. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
