The Kia Sonet facelift has been spotted undergoing testing for the first time in India, and it is likely to be launched in early 2024. Kia recently launched the facelifted Seltos in the Indian market with a starting price of INR 10.89 lakhs (ex-showroom) and equipped it with the new 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine. It seems that Kia is also preparing to launch the Sonet facelift. The Sonet facelift’s test model has been spotted several times in South Korea.
Now, the testing prototype of the Sonet facelift has been seen on Indian roads, indicating that the updated SUV is expected to be launched in the domestic market very soon. However, the testing prototype was adequately camouflaged. The most significant and prominent update will be in its design, which includes a new front end featuring integrated LED DRLs with a new set of headlights that extend to the lower half of the revised bumper.
The fog lamp position will likely remain unchanged, and there may be changes in the front grille to give it a fresh appeal. The side profile is expected to remain unaltered, with possibly 17-inch alloy wheels for the top-spec variant and 16-inch units for the lower trims. The testing model also featured red brake calipers, already part of the GT Line package.
At the rear, the Sonet facelift may get a new set of LED tail lamps with connected treatment, similar to what we have seen in the recently launched Seltos facelift. The rear bumper appears updated and may receive a dual-tone finish for a sportier appeal.
As for the interior, no glimpse has been seen yet. However, the updated model will likely have a new dashboard layout featuring a dual 10.25-inch screen. The upholstery changes are evident, and we can expect to see new features like a 360-degree parking camera and factory-fitted dual-way dashcam in the facelift model.

There is no expectation of engine changes with the Kia Sonet facelift. However, the updated compact SUV’s prices are likely to increase slightly. As per the latest media reports, the Sonet facelift is expected to be launched in early 2024. Kia might also launch it earlier in response to its upcoming significant competitors, the Tata Nexon facelift and the Mahindra XUV300 facelift.
