Abbotsford, BC – Tragedy struck on the evening of September 12, when a 35-year-old man lost his life in a pedestrian-vehicle collision on Gladys Avenue.

The Abbotsford Police Department swiftly responded to the scene, located on the 33000 block of Gladys Avenue, just before 11:30 p.m.
Upon their arrival, officers found the man seriously injured. Despite the immediate efforts of first responders to administer aid, tragically, the man could not be revived and succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities have reported that the driver involved in the incident remained at the scene and fully cooperated with the ongoing investigation. An official statement from the Abbotsford Police Department confirmed that impairment was not a contributing factor in the accident.
In order to gather crucial evidence, the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service temporarily closed Gladys Avenue near the collision site. However, the road has since been reopened to the public.
The APD Traffic Enforcement Unit has taken charge of the ongoing investigation and encourages anyone with dashcam footage or information pertaining to the incident to contact them at 604-859-5225.
