A serious multi-vehicle crash occurred Sunday night on Interstate 93 in Windham, New Hampshire, resulting in major injuries to a female occupant.

Around 10 p.m., emergency crews responded to reports of a rollover accident on I-93 south near mile marker 8. Derry firefighters arriving on the scene found three heavily damaged vehicles – one in the median, a rolled-over pickup truck blocking the highway, and another in the breakdown lane.
All southbound lanes were closed while rescue personnel tended to the victims. A man and woman occupying the vehicle in the median were both transported to Elliot Hospital in Manchester. The woman suffered serious, unspecified injuries, while the man had minor injuries.
The other vehicle occupants were evaluated by EMTs but refused hospitalization. After clearing the wreckage, the highway was reopened.
Names of those involved have not been released. The cause remains under investigation by New Hampshire State Police.
