Fatal Crash Claims Motorcyclist’s Life in Butler County on Sunday

A fatal three-vehicle crash occurred Sunday night in Butler County, Ohio, resulting in the death of 42-year-old Stephen Stocks of Liberty Township.

The accident happened around 9:25 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 4 and Millikin Road in Fairfield Township. According to the Fairfield Township Police Department, Stocks was operating a motorcycle and had slowed or stopped at the intersection.

A 2005 Toyota traveling north on Route 4 then struck Stocks’ motorcycle from behind, ejecting him onto the roadway. Stocks was subsequently hit by a second northbound vehicle.

Despite life-saving efforts by emergency responders, Stocks was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of both cars involved stopped and cooperated with police.

Potential factors leading to the crash are still under investigation. No charges have been announced against the car drivers at this time.
