Skoda India has quietly replaced the striking dual-tone alloy wheels on the Kushaq Style variant with a more subdued single-tone design. The change has left some customers disappointed who booked the compact SUV expecting the original sporty wheels.
The Kushaq Style originally came equipped with distinctive 17-inch dual-tone machined alloys in gloss black and chrome finish. However, deliveries now feature new all-black wheels with a simpler 5-spoke pattern.
Dealerships have confirmed the styling update, which is also reflected in Skoda’s updated brochure. However, the range-topping Monte Carlo trim continues to sport its signature 5-spoke alloys.
Launched in 2021, the Kushaq won praise for its European design and driving dynamics. The mid-size SUV achieved a 5-star safety rating in crash tests.
Under the hood, it offers efficient 1.0-liter and 1.5-liter TSI turbo-petrol engines mated to manual and automatic transmissions. Features include ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, and a large touchscreen infotainment system.
While the new wheels don’t impact performance, the change to a more generic design has disappointed buyers expecting the sportier dual-tone alloys. However, Skoda may have implemented the move to enhance production efficiency.
