A multi-vehicle crash on the A396 in Devon, England led to major traffic disruptions on Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred just before 2 p.m. on the A396 near Bickleigh, blocking the roadway in both directions.

According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the accident caused queueing traffic between Bickleigh and Tiverton. Bus route 55 was forced to divert via the M5 motorway due to the closure.
Stagecoach confirmed its Route 55 buses were diverting around the crash site using the M5. The company tweeted apologies for the inconveniences caused by the necessary diversion.
