Waterbury’s Grief: Single-Car Crash Claims a Precious Life

One person was killed in a single-car crash in Waterbury on Saturday morning, police said.

Officers responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident in the 300 block of Perkins Avenue around 5:53 a.m. on Saturday, according to the Waterbury Police Department.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, and there were no other people in the car, police said.

The Waterbury Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is investigating the crash. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the CRU unit at 203-346-3975.

This fatal single-vehicle collision is under active investigation by the Waterbury Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit. The identity of the deceased driver has not been publicly announced pending notification of next of kin. Authorities are seeking any information from potential witnesses that may shed light on the circumstances leading to the tragic crash.
