Two police officers were hospitalized following a late-night car crash involving a police cruiser in Hartford, Connecticut on Wednesday.
Authorities said the police vehicle was in an accident at the intersection of Asylum Avenue and Cogswell Street around midnight. Both officers inside were transported to St. Francis Hospital, though the extent of their injuries is currently unknown.
The immediate aftermath saw a heavy police response converge on the area, with a portion of Asylum Avenue blocked off for several hours during the initial investigation.
