A stretch of Wellington Road 123 has been shut down due to a severe accident near Palmerston, according to provincial police.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m. on Thursday, prompting an immediate response from emergency services. Preliminary reports indicate that a red minivan collided with a tree.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the van, was rushed to the hospital via ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
Wellington Road 123 is currently closed between Wellington Road 109 and Perth Line 92. The duration of the road closure remains uncertain at this point, and drivers are urged to find alternate routes and avoid the area if possible.
