A major accident involving at least 24 vehicles occurred on eastbound Interstate 30 at Ferguson Road in Dallas County on Saturday morning.
According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, the incident has led to all lanes being closed on that stretch of I-30.
Early morning rain is believed to have caused slick road conditions, resulting in the pile-up crash.
Two cluster areas of crashed vehicles can be seen along the highway. Thankfully, no severe injuries have been reported at this time, per the sheriff’s department.
The circumstances surrounding the chain-reaction collision are under investigation. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect traffic delays while cleanup and clearing efforts continue.
