St. Louis, MO – Three people were injured following a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 70 early Tuesday morning, police reported.

The crash occurred around 1:04 a.m. on eastbound I-70 near Jennings Station Road.
According to authorities, a car with two teen passengers struck an unoccupied vehicle that was blocking a lane due to an earlier accident.
The three injured victims were transported to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
The circumstances leading up to the secondary multi-vehicle crash on I-70 remain under investigation. Initial reports indicate the now-unoccupied vehicle was left blocking the lane following a prior incident, resulting in the subsequent collision.
