A deadly wrong-way crash closed part of Interstate 35 in Buda, Texas early Friday morning.

According to the Buda Police Department, the incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. near exit 220/Main Street and involved three vehicles.
Authorities have not released details on the number of fatalities or what exactly caused the collision but confirmed it was potentially due to a driver traveling in the wrong direction.
Police advised drivers to avoid the area and expect delays as part of I-35 northbound remained shut down during the initial investigation.
The department could not provide a timeline on when the interstate would fully reopen following the fatal multi-vehicle accident.
