A 56-year-old Thousand Oaks man was killed in a fatal solo motorcycle accident on Thursday night that forced the closure of a section of Lynn Road for several hours.

The crash occurred around 7:07 p.m. on Lynn Road, just south of the intersection with Camino Manzanas, according to Ventura County Sheriff’s Capt. William Hutton.
First responders arrived to find the motorcyclist had gone down and suffered major injuries. He was transported by ambulance to Los Robles Regional Medical Center but did not survive.
Authorities immediately shut down Lynn Road between the accident site and Portofino Place as sheriff’s traffic investigators responded to process the scene.
