Gun violence erupted late Saturday night in the city of Quincy, California, according to local police.

Around 11 p.m., a drive-by shooting occurred, according to witness reports. The gunman opened fire on the unnamed victim(s) from a moving vehicle before speeding away from the scene.
Quincy Police Captain Jorge Trujillo stated that the suspect vehicle crashed into a tree just blocks away at the intersection of F Street and 2nd-3rd Avenues. After the crash, the shooter fled the area on foot and remains at large.
Authorities were unable to locate any victims at the scene following the shooting. The identity/identities of the intended targets is currently unknown.
Police could not yet confirm whether the incident was gang-related. The investigation into the drive-by shooting remains ongoing as officers work to apprehend the suspect. Police urge anyone with information to come forward.
