Tragic Loss: Riverview Man Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash

A 25-year-old Riverview man has died following a multi-vehicle accident on the Trans Canada Highway near Havelock, New Brunswick. The fatal crash occurred Tuesday evening around 7 p.m. in the Kinnear Settlement area, according to RCMP.

Police say a westbound truck experienced a blown tire, causing the driver to lose control and cross the median into oncoming eastbound traffic. The truck collided with an eastbound vehicle, whose driver later passed away at the hospital.

The wayward tire then struck the windshield of a third vehicle, resulting in a separate crash. That driver sustained non-life-threatening wounds.

First responders including local fire departments, Ambulance New Brunswick, and the Department of Transportation also responded to the tragic scene. The truck is being inspected for mechanical issues.

Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased man pending notification of next of kin. An investigation into the devastating crash remains ongoing.
