A police van crashed with another vehicle in York, England on Thursday morning. Emergency services responded to the collision at the intersection of Farmlands Road and Chalmers Road in the Dringhouses area at 10:24 a.m. local time.

According to witnesses, the police van had its blue lights activated but no audible siren when it collided with a Fiat 500. Bystanders reported hearing a loud smash at the junction.
Firefighters from the Acomb station attended the incident. A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said all individuals were already out of the vehicles on arrival and there were no injuries. Crews secured the scene.
The heavily damaged police van was later removed by a tow truck. Details on the cause of the crash have not been released. North Yorkshire Police have been contacted for more information.
