Police in Montreal have arrested a 22-year-old suspect after a vehicle was deliberately driven into a group of people on Sunday evening, injuring six.

The incident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. in a park in the Montreal-Nord borough, according to authorities. Witnesses say a fight had broken out before the male suspect got into a car and intentionally struck the victims who were standing nearby.
While none sustained life-threatening wounds, several people were seriously injured in the collision. The suspect was apprehended and is expected to appear in court soon to face charges.
Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances and cause of the initial altercation that preceded the attack. The violence escalated rapidly when the suspect used his vehicle as a weapon to target the group.
