3 Lives Lost, Including 4-Year-Old Girl and 9-Year-Old Boy, in A5 Crash with Lorry in Hinckley

Leicestershire, England – A tragic car accident involving a lorry has left three people dead, including a 4-year-old girl, on the A5 in Hinckley, Leicestershire on Friday afternoon.

Police were alerted to the crash near Burbage around 4:24 p.m. A silver BMW collided with a lorry on the roadway.

The BMW driver, a man in his 30s, was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene along with a 9-year-old boy who was a passenger.

Two other BMW passengers, a woman in her 30s and a 4-year-old girl, were transported to the hospital. Tragically, the young girl succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The woman remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition. The lorry driver escaped serious injury.

The A5 was closed for a period of time while emergency crews responded. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision is underway.
